KCED Foundation Inc. is a New Jersey nonprofit corporation, tax-exempt under
Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, EIN 42-3500250. It is governed
by a Board of Trustees, the organization's sole voting body.
The newsroom the Foundation inherited — 302 issues since 2000.

Publisher of KORISE | Mom&I, since 2000 — 302 issues without
interruption. She built the Fort Lee studio, where more than 320 programs
have been produced, and has recorded over 1,400 community interviews.
In 2026 she committed the studio, the archive, and the intellectual property
to the Foundation as an irrevocable public trust.

Trustees complete a conflict-of-interest disclosure upon appointment and annually
thereafter. Compensated trustees recuse themselves from any matter concerning their
own compensation, which is approved only by the independent trustees.

fiduciary authority, or any role in the governance or management of the Foundation.

Editorial independence
Editorial judgment rests with the Foundation's editorial leadership. The Board
of Trustees does not select stories, review work prior to publication, or approve coverage.
No donor, underwriter, sponsor, partner institution, or government office has any
right of review prior to publication or approval over content, framing, or placement.
Underwriters receive acknowledgment only.
Before the Board votes on editorial policy, donor and sponsorship policy, restricted
gifts, or program launches, it must seek the advice of the Editorial Independence
Committee. Where the Board acts contrary to that advice, the minutes record both the
advice and the Board's reasons. The Committee publishes an annual statement on the
state of the newsroom's independence, which the Foundation publishes unedited.
Nonpartisanship
The Foundation does not endorse candidates for public office and does not accept
material intended to promote a campaign. Its Public Information Partnership is offered
on identical terms to every government office at every level and of every party.
Accountability
The Foundation publishes a
Corrections & Clarifications policy
with an open process for reporting errors, discloses its
sources of support,
and files an annual Form 990 with the Internal Revenue Service.
