Underwriting & Sponsorship
For twenty-six years this publication carried your name to Korean-speaking households in Bergen and Hudson Counties. In 2026 it became a nonprofit newsroom, and the way businesses support it changed with it.
Advertising became underwriting — the supporter is named, the newsroom stays independent, and the support goes to a program rather than a page. Prior advertising commitments may be converted at their existing value.

What recognition looks like
Name, logo, location, contact information, and a value-neutral description of the business. Underwriting acknowledgments do not include prices, discounts, comparative claims, or calls to action. That restriction is what keeps the support tax-advantaged for you and the newsroom independent for its readers.
What underwriters do not receive
Review of any story or program before publication.
Approval over content, framing, or placement.
Any position, seat, or governance authority in the Foundation.
Editorial judgment rests with the Foundation and is subject to review by its Editorial Independence Committee, a majority-external body of journalists. This protects the newsroom — and it is what makes the association worth having.
Payment
Every level can be paid by card. If your accounting requires an invoice, use the invoice button on any option and the Foundation will send one payable by check or ACH.
Support may begin in any month. Annual commitments may be paid in full or quarterly.
KCED Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization, EIN 42-3500250. Underwriting may be treated as a marketing expense or as a charitable contribution. Consult your accountant.
