- What you need, in what order, and who to see.

- An introduction to the right person at the agency or City department — and follow-up until it's resolved

Who runs the Desk
Korea Desk is a program of KCED Foundation Inc., an independent New Jersey nonprofit recognized as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3). Its founder has published community media in Korean in this region for twenty-six years, across 302 issues of KORISE/Mom&I.
It is free. It is not a government office. It gives no legal, tax, or immigration advice, handles no money, and accepts nothing in return for a referral.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Always. No business owner is charged for any service.
Is this a City office?
No. Korea Desk is run by KCED Foundation, an independent nonprofit. We connect you to the City and agency offices that run each program.
Do I have to be Korean?
No. Any business owner in Jersey City is welcome. We work in Korean and English. If you need another language, tell us and we will help you find where to go.
My business isn't open yet.
That's the best time to come — before you sign a lease.
Will you tell anyone what I said?
No. We share information only when you ask us to introduce you to someone. Reports to partners and funders are in aggregate and never identify you or your business.
